About the Duncan Fire Department :
The Duncan Fire Department began in June 1897. The DFD has 42 full-time personnel. The department operates 3 fire stations, and has a call volume of 3,600 annually. DFD has a current ISO rating of 4 within the Duncan City Limits. The department provides Fire, EMS, Hazmat, and Rescue Services within a 67 square mile area assisting a population of 24,600. In addition to the mentioned services, DFD assists the community with child car seat installation, car seat inspection, CO2 and smoke detector installation and inspection, Fire Inspection, Code Enforcement, tours, visits, CPR classes, AD classes, and First Aid Classes.

The mission of the Duncan Fire Department is to protect the community and its visitors through public education, fire prevention, fire suppression, emergency rescue, disaster preparedness, and other services in order to minimize the loss of life and property due to manmade emergencies or events.
